2026-01-07: do we live in the same world, bud?

today at work, one of my co-workers, recently back from a long drive to minnesota for the world junior hockey championships, bemoaned the lack of attendance, and couldn't believe how few canadians had made the trip.

and i bit my tongue, because, my brother in christ, are we living in the same world? you either have to be oblivious to the news, or don't care about it, or straight-up agree with it, each of which is a choice. especially today. especially today.
