2026-03-20: 28 days later

i've never been into horror flicks — i'm kind of a baby, and generally don't like being scared, so why watch something that'll scare me? but i've always had a soft spot for post-apocalyptic kind of stuff, and that often unavoidably intersects with horror.

28 years later came out a little while ago, & i'm not really interested in seeing it, but 28 days later is considered a classic. & since my partner was out tonight, i figured, why not? cracked a NA beer, curled up with the dogs, and watched it. it was...not bad? not amazing, a couple of good performances (gleeson & murphy), a lot of pretty mediocre acting (particularly the soldiers), but good tension...i don't regret watching it, but i doubt i'd watch it again.
